Air fryer has a fan at the top of the appliance. This fan is powerful and when turned on, helps to quickly circulate hot air within the air fryer. It is this fan that allows food to be cooked rapidly and evenly.

How To Stop Your Bacon From Smoking While Cooking
When you need to cook bacon in an air fryer, cook a little quantity at a time. When your air fryer is overloaded and set at a high temperature, your bacon will smoke.
Also, bacon contains fat and when cooked, it drips oil. Remove this oil or grease at intervals because when this grease is over heated, it will result in smoking.
You can wrap your bacon in aluminum foil. This helps to keep the grease from splattering. Some people also advise to throw in some pieces of bread to soak up the grease. These methods have been tried and approved.
On the other hand, some people have talked about placing water in the base of the basket. This is quite risky and will not stop the air fryer from smoking.
Furthermore, you must ensure that your kitchen is well ventilated, and the bacon should be flipped after a while. If this is not done, your bacon may get burnt.
However, some air fryers have features that flip food automatically. Check the manufacturer’s manual to know if yours has this feature.
